We have been identifying and eradicating woodworm (Anobium Punctatum ), dry rot (True Dry Rot Fungus serpula lacymans) and wet rot (Wet Rot Fungus Coniophora puteana) and rising dampness since 1978 making us one of the longest established independent property care specialists working throughout South West Scotland.
We are members of the PCA (Property Care Association) which is a division of the BWPDA (British Wood Preserving and Damp Proofing Association). As such our clients know we have satisfied the technical and financial requirements that membership of the PCA requires and that we work to the highest standards. We are also members of the GPT (Guarantee Protection Trust) and are able to offer an insured guarantee to back up our own long term guarantee. I am a qualified surveyor in remedial treatments (CSRT), another requirement of PCA membership and have over 24 years experience in the industry.
Why use a Qualified Surveyor?
The correct identification of wood destroying organisms and the causes of dampness are essential for correct diagnosis and specification of a safe and cost effective remedy. Surveyors must have a detailed knowledge of the insects and fungi that attack wood, the types of wood used in buildings and their characteristics, building structures, the characteristics of wood preservatives and damp proofing materials and equipment and their safe and effective use together with legal obligations of the surveyor and his company to name just a few of the requirements. This along with years of experience ensures that all surveys are carried out by a professional who will provide a detailed report, specification and accurate costs tailored to each individual property.
Please do not hesitate to contact our office for any further information you may require or to arrange for a specialist survey.
